Labour ComplianceThe Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), on July 10, 2026, notified the Forms for issuance of Certificates of Training under Rule 173(1) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026. The notification prescribes Form T(2) for issuing certificates of initial or refresher training to persons undergoing mandatory mine safety training. 

The prescribed forms are applicable to every person who successfully completes the required training, assessment, and demonstrates acceptable performance under Rules 158, 159, 161 and/or 162 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026. The certificate covers training for employment in surface mines, opencast workings, belowground coal mines (Degree I/II/III gassy), metalliferous mines, and oil mines.

The notification standardises the format for certifying successful completion of initial or refresher training, thereby ensuring uniform documentation of mandatory mine safety training and compliance with the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026.
